11 Whitecrest Great Ocean Road Resort - Ocean View

Positive: Beautiful view and being able to hear the ocean which was the highlight of this location. Didn't use any of the facilities due to our short stay and inclement weather. Hosts gave clear instructions which made check in easy. Negative: Cleanliness of the place was disappointing, sticky kitchen surfaces and small dead bugs throughout given there was a significant cleaning fee which I hadn't encountered before on this platform. The one frying pan in the kitchen was in separate need of replacement. A throw or a blanket would be useful to have if the weather is cooler.

Pleasant stay on the Great Ocean Road. Positive: The apartment had a wonderful view of the Great Ocean Road. The gas fire was great as it was quite chilly when we were there. It would not light to start but Carolyn was very quick to get it fixed - thank you! The cost to rent for 3 nights before the cleaning charge was very reasonable. Negative: Furniture is old and quite uncomfortable. The dining room chairs were too large for the space, would be much better if at least 2 of them were removed. The cleaning charge (AUD 245) was too high given the level of cleanliness of the property at check in. Whilst on the surface it appeared clean, it would benefit from a deep clean.

Dirty Positive: Location, sea view, room size, wifi, 24h contactless check-in Negative: I usually rate places I stay top high, but this time I really can’t. The place was dirty, really dirty, towels and linen delivered for sofa was clean but smelled like an ashtray (really strong cigatette smell) the sofa was bad, not ready and very uncomfortable, coffee machine as dirty as a public toilet in Kinshasa, I guess that happens when you ask your guests to clean. Maybe they are understaffed,
